Tele Audiology – The Most Convenient Way to Receive Advanced Hearing Care
Technology has had a major impact on how we communicate during the challenges presented by 2020.
In addition to having a phone within reach at all times, businesses conduct conferences with management and employees on different continents, long-distance relationships are more common today than at any time in history, and people are able to consult with their physicians through tele-medicine appointments.
Protocols imposed around the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic have made staying in touch even more challenging. Hearing care, hearing aid adjustments, and hearing assessments are among the areas where travel and social restrictions have had a significant impact.
As you face the challenges of receiving the hearing care you need in 2021, you will be happy to know that Tele Audiology is making it possible to get the same level of care from your audiologist at Park Place Hearing without having to travel, risk infection in a waiting room, or conduct a face-to-face office visit.
What Is Tele Audiology?
The concept is relatively simple. In place of personally visiting our offices for your appointment, “Tele Audiology” allows you and your audiologist to have a face-to-face conversation using your cell phone or tablet.
In addition to helping with social distancing compliance, Tele Audiology facilitates being able to speak to your audiologist in spite of the challenges of a busy schedule, traveling long distances, or having to find someone to care for dependents. Even if you are out of town visiting family, on business, or on vacation, you can still get the high-level professional hearing care you need from your audiologist.
An unforeseen advantage of Tele Audiology comes in the form of making it easier for you to encourage a reluctant loved one with hearing care concerns to consult with a hearing care professional. Because it is simpler and a little less intimidating than traveling across town and walking into an office, your friend or loved one can take advantage of a no-obligation initial consultation with an audiologist in order to learn more about hearing loss, hearing assessments, and hearing care.
Hearing aid wearers benefit greatly from Tele Audiology because you can receive the needed support for adjustments and maintenance or just a bit of encouragement from your audiologist if you are a new user struggling to adapt.
Best of all, many of today’s hearing aids feature built-in remote programming capabilities, allowing your audiologist to identify problems, change settings, and make adjustments to maximize your device’s performance from a remote location.
How Does a Tele Audiology Appointment Work?
A Tele Audiology appointment is as easy to set up as scheduling an in-office appointment in the clinic and perhaps even, easier.
