Hearing protection is vitally important for anyone that is often in a noisy environment. Whether the noise comes from machinery at work, the sound of gunfire, power tools, or the sound of musical instruments, you must protect your hearing. Park Place Hearing Center takes hearing protection very seriously. The hearing care professionals listen carefully to understand your noise exposure and recommend the best technology for your needs.
Protect your hearing with custom hearing protection such as custom earmolds, custom earplugs, in-ear musicians monitors and hearing protection.
Park Place Hearing Center fits custom earmolds to be worn in the bowl of the ear at the top of the ear canal. These earmolds can be made up of a solid material or a soft and spongy material. Earmolds are available in full-shell or half-shell models. Full-shell models offer greater protection. Some models include an attenuator to allow normal noise levels to be heard (such as conversation) while blocking decibels at damaging levels.
Custom earplugs are worn completely in the canal. They are made from a mold of your ear canal, so they fit more comfortably and provide a greater level of protection than off-the-shelf earplugs. Some models are fitted with small handles or cords that make inserting and removing the earplugs easy. Custom earplugs aren’t just for protection from noise. They also provide protection from water and wind and create a quiet sleeping environment.
Hearing protection for musicians requires an understanding of the special needs of professional and amateur musicians. Instruments and voices don’t need to be amplified to put hearing at risk.
Standard earplugs muffle and distort sound and prevent the musician from hearing tones and pitch properly. The hearing care professionals at Park Place Hearing Center understand the need for musicians to protect their hearing and still perform their best.
The solution is earplugs made especially for the needs of musicians. These earplugs reduce the decibel level of a sound without distorting the sound itself. You hear instruments and voices safely and clearly.
Replace stage mounted monitors with in-ear monitors created especially for musicians. Hear clearly without amplification and danger from crowd noise.
